| Details: Job Summary Test flies Dos INL/A helicopters in support of counter-narcotics operations (Middle East) IAW Dos INL/A Operations Directives. In addition to conducting maintenance test flights will be required to operate UH-1H/II helicopters in support of approved missions flown in support of the U.S. DoS, Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement, Affairs Office of Aviation (INL/A) counter narcotics program. Missions involve the support of efforts toward eradication and interdiction of illicit narcotics, training, transport of personnel and equipment, reconnaissance, search and rescue, and medical evacuation. Mission tasks may also require, rescue hoist, aerial Gunnery and escort of ground forces. Principle Accountabilities JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform tests flight duties in rotary wing aircraft in accordance with the aircraft maintenance test flight manual, operator's manual, Dos INL/A Operations Directives and site SOP. Gains and maintains aircraft proficiency in all maintenance test flight tasks designated by the Site Manager. Applicant will be required to fly both single and multi-ship missions, day, night and NVG missions, primarily under visual meteorological conditions. Instrument proficiency is required. Applicant will be required to maintain NVG currency. The candidate for this position must be physically prepared for, and accept assignment to remote areas under austere living and working conditions. The successful applicant will perform duties as MTP, Pilot, Pilot in Command, Air Mission Commander or Flight Lead. Potential for exposure to hostile fire in this region is high.
